wow, it really is a small world! Too funny

welcome Schmaffy! It's good to see you saying hello! How did you end up faring in your Philly tix? Or are you still trying to get yourself those awesome seats?

Good luck to you, if you haven't already secured them! And keep Halloween at MSG in mind - that promises to be quite a good time!

Didn't get them yet - resisting the urge to buy tix on ebay and waiting for comcast to release some good seats. I vow center section, 1st ten rows or not at all!!! THIS...WILL...HAPPEN!

Well you guys - thanks so much for the warm welcome. It makes me feel all nice and fuzzy inside. I can't believe how much of my work day this has just sucked up. I am gone until tomorrow. See you all then.

G'night!!!

Hi Schmaffy. Nice to have you here. So there are two important questions I have. How do you get a name like Schmaffy and what are your thoughts on Neil Peart :P (a running joke around here). I read a lot of things about The Outsiders on here today. They released a special edition dvd of it a while ago, if you haven't seen it you should, great extras.

YES, I have a hubby, but in his words "He did his time" going to Hershey with me - I'm flying solo for Philly!!!! I'll keep my eyes peeled for tix and keep you posted!

I was dubbed Schmaffy my freshman year in college by a drunken basketball player who thought it rhymed with Kathy. He called me "Kathy Schmaffy" all year. Eventually it was shortened to Schmaffy and now mostly just Schmaff. Yes, yes I know this was almost 20 years ago but the name has stuck with me like a bad rash. (Posting it on message boards doesn't help, actually.)

Neil who? :P

My husband thinks I'm crazy. Here I was last night composing more folklore (this is fun!):

"Stewart Copeland didn’t need to rest on the seventh day."

"When Stewart Copeland breathes into a brown paper bag, IT hyperventilates."

"Pinatas explode when Stewart Copeland walks by. They don’t want him hitting them with a stick."

cool schmaf...... i'm all over that! my husband did his time too. the only thing is that i can't reveal how much we spend on tix, so that's our secret!

i found some on ebay already (4th row dead center - $500 each), but i'm sure we can get a better price for something similar. i'll keep looking too. we can also hope that they release more tix later. my credit card is burning....

what do you mean "neal who"?????? you are on a drummer's site girl!

It's killing me to wait - but at Hershey, the day before the show there were suddenly front section row 12 seats available - plus people were selling tix they couldn't get rid off lower than face value. And here I had paid $100 for the bogus TPT fan club "pre-sale" and ended up with crappy seats...but that's another story. Bottom line is I'd rather wait...JUST a bit longer. Better seats will come along.

"Neil who" is totally sarcastic. It's my cute little way of saying "I know what's been going on around here and therefore am keeping my opinion to myself and simultaneously ragging on the "Pearty" on the board."

aaaahhhh! sorry for being so slow... joke over my head!

waiting sounds good to me. i foolishly bought gold package seats for 2 concerts and got screwed. the seats were not that good (second section back from the stage both times) and i literally could not see the guys - jumbotron all the way. when you pay $400 from ticketmaster - ANDY AND STING SHOULD BE FLINGING SWEAT AT YOU! oh yeah, and i got some cheap canvas crap messenger bag with a couple of crappy pins as the "exclusive merchandise" item. what a crock.

whatever you do, count me in. :D

edit: p.s.... i'm wearing 10" platform shoes to the next one too! i always get stuck behind 7' tall guy - and i'm only 5'-3"
