I'm listening to Back Home. It's not my fav of his albums, but it's earned it's spot in my visor case (I had to bump Adams' On a day Like Today).

Police boot from Feb. 2, 1981 at Budokan...

Now I'm listening to the Brazillian Girls, who I am starting to really like, but I love the fact that I just figured out that they are neither Brazillian nor are all girls! <grin>

Hub is watching a Michel Gondry video, so I suppose I'm listening to that (it's Chemical Brothers playing "Star Guitar"...the video for which is cool as all hell.)

Yesterday I listened to a slew of stuff on the way home from St Louis, mostly Carlos "Patato" Valdez. It's pretty classic Cuban percussion; reminded me of Stewart's work in the sense that the band plays tin cans and spoons and stuff.

National Geographic is doing a great new podcast series on world music, and I had a bunch of them backlogged so I got caught up on those. My favorite was the one on the band Antibalas (Spanish for "anti-bullets"), which is a sensational Afro-Cuban band. Their album "Who is This America" has been one of my favorites over the past few years.

Oh, and I also listened to a bunch of bad 1970s classic rock. Every now and then I just get in the mood to hear "Don't Fear the Reaper." ;)

If BOC is bad, then I don't wanna be good... <cheshire grin>

Hahaha I must have said my heart feels like an aligator after drinking that rather specious purple shushee thingy on Bourbon Street <grin>

Ooooh and Franz Ferdinand IS good, to bad like 3 other bands were scheduled at the same time as them at Roo...there's like an 80s modern rock vibe about them that I really dig!

New Beastie Boys record, "The Mix Up." It's all instrumental and groovy as hell. Love it.
