OmegaMachine's Louisville Review...
WOW! That was the most excellent concert I have ever witnessed in my 16 years of life so far. Sting, Andy, and Stewart were in top shape and were all smiles.
We got the cheapest seats available and were sat so far away that we couldn't even see the screens very well. They were just awful seats... especially because of the delay between the video screens and the music we heard (sound travels slower than light). Just as "Don't Stand" started, a guy with an ID badge started running around the crappy seats and handing out, to our amazement, FLOOR SEATS!!! Apparently, they didn't sell many $90 seats so they gave all the people with terrible seats a complimentary upgrade. So my dad and I ran like schoolchildren to section 124 (from 318) and were soon standing atop some bleachers and could see the whole thing!
So after that was done, I really got into the concert. Before it felt like you were watching it on TV,but now we were IN the concert. Sting's voice was in top shape and there was not a sliver of cracking. He talked about how he was able to name the winning Kentucky Derby horse a couple years ago, Giacomo (after his son).
Andy was as usual, no change from the St. Louis show. He smiled a lot more though, and seemed very happy to be where he was.
And then there was Stewart... He was in top shape tonight, not one faltering move on his part. He even took a drink of Gatorade in one hand in the middle of a song and continued playing with the other hand. At the end, he pointed at a camera and made some funny faces also.
And there was a FLAG SIGHTING! Not the SC.net flag, but the Happy B-Day from SC.net Flag! Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe I saw it near the very front on the left hand side (is that right Dive?). I nearly had a cow after seeing it, especially after I saw the picture of it on my cell phone from the forum.
So overall and A+ performance from the boys. This concert is proof that there is little or no friction between them now. I saw too much smiling and even some jokes shared between Andy and Sting during a guitar solo for there to be a measurable amount of friction between them.
Off to bed!
I could be replaced by any bright spark...
St. Louis 7/2
