THE POLICE AT THE GRAMMYS

Fantastic!

Here's hoping this is only the appetizer, with the main course (a tour) soon to be enjoyed.

Dessert would be two new songs....

Hi everybody. I'm new here, but have been a Police-Fan for the last 10 years. I am Marius from Cologne, 30 y.o. and played in a Police Tribute- band for several years. But of course I never had the chance to see them live. I only saw Andy in Cologne a few years ago - Synaesthesia-Tour, he played a few bars of "Mother" to our excitement... 8)

But luckily I found this Forum just in time for the reunion, and I've been following the news since early january. As all of you I hope that the Grammy performance isn't just a one-off, but as Gio talked about "more" information I am convinced there's more to come.

In my opinion this is the only band-reunion (perhaps only equalled by Pink Floyd) that the rock world really desperately wanted the past 20-something years.

For me it is a dream come true, as so far I have seen NONE of my favourite bands (believe it or not: Queen, Pink Floyd and our three boys... ) live in original line-up. And as it is impossible for Queen, and most unlikely to happen again with P.F. this is just to good to be true!!!
Can't believe it's happening!!! Can't wait for the tour dates!!! :D

Does anybody here know if the Grammy's will be televised in germany?

Hi Marius!
Yes, impossible also with the original Pink Floyd line-up: Syd Barrett past away some months ago.

I would imagine that the Grammy performance will be on YouTube not too long after it occurs..

I'm going to capture it, so I can Tube it myself if need be.

Only other reunion I'd probably get somewhere near this geeked up over would be the Kinks. Other than that, it'd take John Lennon and George Harrison rising from the grave, which we all know ain't gonna happen, darnit.

Hi Philippe, yeah, of course it is not THE original, but I prefer the Post-Syd-Floyd, although his passing was really sad.

Back to topic: for all germans, Channel "Pro7" shows the Grammys in germany, LIVE!!!
