Smaxx, since the Other Side of the World seems the favorite place for the Post-Police Copelandic activities, I really hope (but I am pretty confident) that the mag comes out soon and we can all partake of the wonder.

got it!!!!!!!!!!!

give me some time and i'll do something shareable with it...

but the headlines are:

confirms gamelan and an enormous orchestra 40 minute piece for Dallas Symphony.. "makes me sound even worse than sting"

would he do a police tour again?
"Not Tomorrow, no. I'm completely dead! I'm not even thinking about it. There is no such thing as The Police in my world but who knows what will happen next year"

about gordo ..." We realised we are good for each other, like cod liver oil. That doesn't make it any easier to put up with. I've just got to put up with that son of a bitch and he has to put with my clattering row. He just has to get over it and so do I" (note present tense)

and , yes, the 10 records chosen then have stewart talking about each in turn, but i don't think he picked 'em, more that they asked him to talk about each. And 'cos it's a musicians magazine, well, 'drummers' >dux<, they do talk about the compositions and recording process, drum parts etc etc ....

when i'm less out of my box i'll get the scanner out of it's box and see if i can mail some kinda pdf around, or something......

Oysterhead get a mention 'cos that was when stewart started playing drums again after 10 years.....

about certifiable:
"The whole thing was so much fun in its entirety and, at the end, the music started to get really good....We started to go with it and not be so godamn Aristolian about it and just play the damn songs"

HOT DIGGETY DAMN! OK, good thing I've got enough FF points on American to get back to Dallas. We'll have to coordinate a Nutter influx for this, natch...

Thanks, smax. I feel as though I should try to cobble together some verbiage to adequately express our devotion to your deity-ness, but I'm all doped up on cold meds. Please accept my devout appreciation and an IOU for some effusive circumlocution.

Smax rox!!!
Dallas is TOTALLY doable!! Savannah survived a Nutter invasion. I suspect Dallas can handle it :D
Stewart and Stanley together again!! YO!
Yeah, I picked up on that, too, but that doesn't mean we have to agree.
I think he's WRONG!! I'm not going around with "Certifiable" on my back. I've got a Rhythmatist T-shirt! :P
HAHAHA. You won't hear me arguing.

Ahhhh. Thanks for the clarification and details, smax.

At least there will be time to save for this, and Dallas is not as far as Savannah. My brother has been there: the "Leave your weapons at the door" sign had him in stitches.

So Gamelan it is and Ben Hur can be skipped (I think Stewart will be in London at the premiere, but not necessarily onstage).

I think "The Rytmatist" album is a piece of master drum and rythm... It will be on my Stewart's list definetely 8)
