It's part kidding but I do believe there is some truth to it.

Which is fair enough.

Though I do now want to slap smax with a large, oily fish for his dreadful tuna pun. That was truly awful. </fish-wielding threadjack>

Fuck, DM! Do you realise how hard I had to work NOT to say that? Now we're into pun-inflation and that never ends well.

ETA a strategic comma so as not to accidentally instruct everyone to copulate with a happily married woman.

That's the one...

I know he used to do "A Day In The Life", so I've heard that live before.

Edit: You guys are killing me with the fish shit.

Not sure how much money Trudie spends, but I'm sure that El Stingo slips a few wads here and there himself. When you have that much fucking money, it can't possibly mean that much to just spend it without a thought.

Ridiculous to think Sting will retire. LOL. I hope he is on the internet to see that and have a good laugh. He's probably writing his second book and planning another lute album. Maybe THAT is why we see reports of Dominic coming back into the picture.

I could see him perhaps pulling back from 18-month-long tours, not even because of his age but perhaps to preserve his throat.

I wonder if this speculation came up because there hasn't been a big announcement of any new album/material/tour bla bla bla. But it's not unlike Sting (or a lot of musicians) to go slightly off the radar in between major projects. Or he's already up to something and no one's found out yet.

Anyway, I hope this doesn't turn into the slugfest that I saw on one of the other sites, I guess it was StingUs. You'd think they were debating the economy or something.

He could spend some of it fish skins (one of the of things that they used to use for condoms before latex) when he's getting his lap dances ;)

That sounds like extremely good sense susan. Does it seem to others that the advent of the interwebs has decreased everyone's patience - we're less able to wait and see what happens?

Right now sc.net seems to be greeting the speculation with a whole bunch of terrible puns. Can't help thinking a slug-fest might be less groan-enducing...

poor gordo, he's been off stage for all of 6 weeks and already people are saying that must be it and he's gonna retire!

you're right about the patience thing; in the good ole days it would / could literally be years between 'projects'; now it seems gordo et al can't break wind without a thread popping up about it.... oooh; have you heard? apparently it was silent and violent.... ah, i preferred him when it sounded like a fog horn... etc etc

although did you see andy at the end of the video in my original posting? so there must have been some post-end-of-tourzilla meeting up; which is nice; 'cos at one point it seemed as if the barely-concealed hostility and politeness had run its course and they parted as quickly as they had come together... maybe there are plans for the vaults to be looted.

and the fish-skin condom debate is gonna run and run..... ew. :?
not tonight, love, i've got a haddock...

Oh give it time and people will argue about that too.

Funny stuff!

...but Seriously as an Infamous Drummer would put it, and back to the vid, I saw only the Sumners (Popeye, Jocelyn Wildenstein and Joe - hot!), AndyS and KateS in the meeting.

No representatives of the US part of the P'leece...
At least, unless my eyesight is beyond all hope.... :?: :?:
