Hi Philip, I'm in a city called Nashville, in a state called Tennessee, in the southern U.S. It was 96 degrees F in the shade today, which is about 33 C.

Really, really hot. How is France now?

Most people in other countries don't know where U.S. states are (we have FIFTY of them, way too many to keep up with)...mine is closer to Florida than to Texas. I live in the hometown of Johnny Cash, if you know him, and not far from where Elvis Presley grew up.

We have really good music around here, also really good food. How about you?

96 isn't to bad. When I was a kid in AZ it would get up to 123 F.
