So Friday morning arrives. When I wake up everything is packed and ready to go and we hit the road for our 900 km journey. A normal person like D might wonder if this is such a good idea, spending four days with someone you've known for five hours at a previous show, AND met on the internet. I however never worry about those things. I do make a mental note that I should try and gage my mouth and think about things before I just blurt out something that might be insulting to someone who didn't know me really well. As you all know, I tend to shoot first and ask questions later, I mean apologize. So were driving, and for the record, D is a very good driver, but as another male, I don't like the fact that someone else is in control, and I develop drivers editis. You know, I pump the imaginary brake pedal on the passenger side....alot. After a few hours I do realize that he's a great driver and my worries are gone.
I've never seen Alberta and I have a great tour guide who explains a lot of shit as I have alot of questions. We hit British Columbia, then the border. I'm already tired, but hitting the U.S. gives me a renewed energy. The ride through Montana, Idaho and Washington is just two guys telling jokes the whole way. But as we start to get close to our stopping place, we're both getting tired and check out a campground about 90 minutes from where we wanted to stop. Oh, I should add that I've NEVER been camping before, especially in a tent. This place was on the water, and in hindsight was probably the ideal place to stop. It was clean and quiet, but since I couldn't see any restrooms, and was in love with the idea of a campground called "The Four Seasons" I was ready to move on........
