Hi policerule. I love hearing what everyone has to say. Yeah Sting has done yoga for too long  . He needs to find his dark side again and maybe steal an old grannies handbag or something  . Your right by saying they've nothing to lose and nothing to prove. i hate it when people (like the bloody media) use the term 'comeback'. Its just them playing and having a laugh. Couldn't agree more about Andy. He was off the planet with his guitar playing. I've got some photos of the gig that I will try and upload somehow so watch this space.
The dog just bit my leg,
My teenage daughter ran away..........

i'd really love to know how andy and stewart really feel about playing the songs the way they are now or what they really want to add or take away from the show. it should be a democracy, but i know it's really sting who gets final approval of what gets played and how and that sucks. you know that we'll never know because that would cause "tension".

ah, well, it is what it is!

i'm picturing sting running down the street with some old woman's handbag right now and stopping every few feet to do a yoga pose & maybe play a little lute....

Priceless. That was a real tea-sprayed-over-keyboard moment.

Edi, Pats says

Not the yoga pose again [yuck!] That pictures ruined Sting's image for me forever!!!

I think he is like a Roman emperor at the peak of the decadence [the magical Stingdom etc..] BRING ON THE BARBARIANS!!! :D

He was still totally in touch with everything some years ago.
This I think is the last thing he wrote that I really flipped for:

You could say I lost my faith in science and progress
You could say I lost my belief in the holy church
You could say I lost my sense of direction
You could say all of this and worse, but
If I ever lose my faith in you
There'd be nothing left for me to do

Some would say I was a lost man in a lost world
You could say I lost my faith in the people on T.V.
You could say I'd lost my belief in our politicians
They all seemed like game show hosts to me
If I ever lose my faith in you
There'd be nothing left for me to do
I could be lost inside their lies without a trace
But every time I close my eyes, I see your face

I never saw no miracle of science
That didn't go from a blessing to a curse
I never saw no military solution
That didn't always end up as something worse,
But let me say this first

If I ever lose my faith in you
If I ever lose my faith in you
There'd be nothing left for me to do
There'd be nothing left for me to do
If I ever lose my faith
If I ever lose my faith
If I ever lose my faith
If I ever lose my faith in you

To this day, I consider this his best solo song ever.

That one had really the Pete Townshend effect
[F**K him, how does HE get into MY head and say what I think?]

I also liked once when in an interview he said that couples came up to him and said "We got married because of Every Breath You Take!!!", not understanding that it is a song about obsession/stalkers. He said "Good for you!"

Well, enough Sting praise for today. To say it like St. Augustine,

BREAK'S OVER!!!!!
