Postby TheEqualizer on 27 Aug 2007 01:07

For got to mention, did the post for you cuz I LOVE your avatar. That snare RULES, don't it? It really is not that much more expensive than a lot of the other snares out there but the SOUND. The SOUND can make me weep.
Sting, Stewart, and Andy all raised each other's game, and the success of the Police was really the result of the magic mix of all three rather than just one lead member running the show.
I so agree.
Wonderfully stated.

Does anyone have any thoughts on the HIGH VOICE change?

You don't even need to join. You should be able to download a certain amount even without logging in. You can download more in a day if you just register, which does not require a fee. Actually, I think the limits actually are for 9 hr blocks rather than an actual 24 hr period. I would not waste my money on signing up for a pay account with Gigasize. You just need to have a little patience and download only a few links at a time.

EQ, thanks for the Last Exit stuff. I've always wondered what they sounded like and never thought I would have these songs. I knew there were some versions of early Police, but "Savage Beast' shocked the hell out of me (early version of We Work The Black Seam with many of the lyrics still intact).

After listening more from Last Exit it sounds like his solo career.
Only squared when he went solo because he had big musicians. I suppose I'm thinking of the Blue Turtles cuz he had lots of jazzers and long solo's. After that album I pretty much abandoned him and would catch a tune now and again on TV.
I always hungered for what Stewart was doing so badly but it was unavailable to me. There was no Internet to search and find out and when there was - I had forgotten to look. No Youtube videos or forums to share links. Gotta admit this is great. I always wondered how the Rhythmatist really was. It was just a distant unattainable thing and so was the Klark Kent stuff, to me anyway.
