Classic rock awards - vote for Everyone Stares!

Postby TheEqualizer on 21 Aug 2007 20:23

You should get the new Who album. It took awhile for it to grow on me but it eventually did. Biggest disappointment is that Zak Starkey plays on only ONE track. That was a major WTF that took me awhile to get over. Also, there are plenty of copies (at least here in Vegas) of the special edition that comes with a live DVD from Lyon, France (something like four or five songs). Warning: you MUST dispense with all preconceived notions of that you think the Who are/what you expect from a Who album when listening to Endless Wire. My favorite track is In the Ether, which is essentially Townshend solo purposely singing in a REALLY odd voice.

Of course I did...If only for 2000 years, Endless Wire deserves the Vote.
Only the Anthology could have swayed me.

Well done guys. I must check the album out. Hows Rogers voice on it. Not quite the old Daltrey we once heard years ago but still packing a punch I'm sure as for Pistol Pete is always genius. Power chords, great solos to the max and as the lyrics, sensational. Behind Blue Eyes, what a tune. One of the best song writers ever to grace our planet, in my opinion.

Going back to the main topic we've only had 18 votes. We need loads more COME SC FANS. WHERE R U? Well it should win by a mile but need more votes.

I'll raise another topic with your original message and link if it hasn't doubled by the morning. Only with your permision Sockii. :D

ok.... i guess the person who told me was exaggerating. that's my fault for trusting what people tell me. the comment wasn't negative at all... although he really should revise his own classification of the police because he is wrong as well.

If so, it doesn't seem harsh.

You beat me to the punch policerule.

I don't classify the Police as belonging to the genre of classic rock either.

what i meant by reclassifying the police as "punk" as well... pete said they are punk, and from what i've read, the police have stated many times that they never considered themselves punk. so what genre are they?

i guess they have none!

NahNahNah!
You obviously don't know how PETE is when he is being ferocious...That is nothing! Ask Paul Weller, or Roger himself....
Besides, it does not take anything away from the sheer beauty of his album and all he has given to rock music.
