Hey marshmallow, I saw some Tama octobans (low pitch set) not too long ago on ebay complete with stand. I'm diggin' the colour of your kit; VERY nice. :!:

Me onstage at The Town Pump (a local-longtime-gone night club) nearly 20 years ago with my Pearl kit. I don't have nearly as much hair anymore and I've gained about 50 lbs since then. Shortly after this photo was taken, the drum kit was paired down big time to make for ease of transporting between gigs. 8)

No more, but as you may remember I was in a heavily Police-Influenced band before I moved to TX (almost 2 years ago- time flys!).

For those that are new and haven't seen:

I love old gig photo's like that ! Nice Caligula !

Check SpecA! old bands tunes.

He's good Fucking drummer that guy!

I am kind of a "sloppy" version of Copeland and Levon Helm and Phil Rudd kinda smushed up in a blender. So I sometimes am too rough and sloppy but sometimes if I really get the "feel" I think I can do OK.

I will be posting some new tunes and I will hip you guys to it...I wanna hear what you think.

and it doesn't hurt my feeling if you think I suck...just try to tell me why.

Soon ...promise.

will definitely check those out tonite SpecA

I have a VHS of band I was in in '88. it was a really trashy garage/punk band, we played lots of Clash and stuff, all of it too fast, but we were just doing it for laughs. we did play Next to You, but at about 180 miles an hour. we were really bad  it was fun though and it helped with the womens

My new band is more tame, I'm 38 and the youngest member! the band plays alot of Cracker, who I wasnt a big fan of but it has grown on me. We added lots of other stuff, from REM to T Rex to Cake. One of these days when we record I'll post a file here.
Thanks Stewart!

Cool Ska !

Do you want your band to do Man in a Suitcase in a traditional Ska way? or lean more towards the Police original version?

It IS a ska song in it's own way...really wouldn't be much to make it hardcore Ska.

Before the Police tour I was hoping they would do a reggae version of Suitcase....always Loved that tune.

Good song choice Ska.
BB...and Thanks for encouraging...means a lot.

the only change i would do is instead of holding the skank on the kick as Stewart does I would hold it on the hats the traditional way. Although i think Stewarts way is quite innovative in fact i have not heard anyone else do it his way it doesn't drive the song
