Stewart fans look elsewhere - this is ridicilous Sting only

Postby Johnny O on 21 Jul 2007 15:56

You know, I think this is actually pretty flash. I am cool with it.

Sting, even if he turns back into 'solo Sting', gets a permanent "cool pass" from me for doing this tour and getting my fave band back together. I really thought it would never happen. Yep, no matter what he pulls in the future I will be down with it...

Now then, I am sure he can get some rest knowing this...

i don't know about the report, but i can believe it i guess. it would be pretty messed up if he didn't let them know in advance though. a person can get sick from eating stuff that their bodies are not used to. like GSC said, he is used to eating certain types of foods and avoiding others. if he actually ate the food at the restaurant, he might get sick even if there was nothing wrong with the restaurant food. the chef could have accomodated him however... he's being a snob in my opinion.

Wait a sec...Is this a test for the new chef (the old one is suing them) meeting Mrs. Sumner's requirements? :?:

In the restaurant world, trying to order something off the menu is one of the most capital insults if the chef has any reputation. To bring your own chef . . . I'm surprised the chef did not blow up the restaurant

Heck I remember the English football (pardon, US denizens, I mean soccer) team being literally crucified for bringing their own bottled water in Mexico during the World Cup!

As others have said, this report failed to mention that Sting is on a strict macrobiotic diet. I'm sure the chefs at this particular restaurant have no idea what a macrobiotic diet is so it's not out of line for him to bring his own chef. Maybe he just wanted to go out with friends like a normal person. So it's no big deal. This is just another non-story by the media; they're capitalizing on the other chef debacle (his personal cook who got fired) and using it as an excuse to bash Sting when he doesn't need to be bashed.

There are a lot of reasons to slam Sting and this is not one of them. He's doing the strict diet (which includes no alcohol) for the fans; it's to ensure that both his health and voice don't go out on him during the tour. The press never ceases to amaze me. :?

OH! Now I feel bad for my last post. I do like Sting. Without him, there'd be no POLICE...

He could have hired Gordon Ramsay with that kind of money..
Surely Trudie would have approved.

Mag,

Friendly Sting-teasing is one of the typical behavior of the denizens of Copelandia..... so you're totally in line

(We KNOW there would be NO POLICE or POLICE REUNITED without him, and HE knows it too...)

Thanks---because Sting is kind of a jerk... Andy and Stewart seem nicer...less full of themselves...or something....

Now I sound like I think know them personally!!! Maggi's boarding the crazy train .....yikes!!!

Crazy train syndrome...other requirement for being a Citizen of Copelandia...
Now read the Flag Holy Commandments and you got the keys!

[P.S. I suggest reading Andy's book, Broken Music or more material about the three of them being equally jerks at different points in time, the only difference is that Sting seems a little more oblivious to it than the other two]

Why go to a restaurant to have your own chef cook for you? Why not just stay in your hotel or house or whatever? Sounds well ostentatious to me.

Or why can't they have a tour bus that has been converted into a mobile kitchen to follow them around the country.
