Stewart, do you and Andy ever call Sting.. Gordie? and,

Postby Kalypso on 14 Jul 2007 21:35

They should call him "El Gordo" which in Spanish means "fatty": now THAT would drive him crazy (and make him spend 18 hours a day in front of the mirror with a magnifying lens to spot signs of cellulite...)

Does any of you know if Stewart has a nickname, something like Leroy Coolbreeze that his bro, R.I.P., had?
Anyone remember the song Gordon is a moron?

Kim

Ah, Jilted John - a fine song.

I seem to remember that there was an answer record sung by "Gordon and Julie" all about Gordon not being a moron - a pretty lame attempt that was!

Anyway, someone on here needs to rewrite the lyrics to Jilted John to fit in with the current tour and the interviews etc etc. There's a challenge.

Who, Sting or Stewart? From the DT article it looks like Stewart has a back problem (which is the very least he can have, seen the energy he puts in his performances) and HOBBLES a bit.... :( :( :( :(

Actually, those who work closely with him call him "Stingo." No joke.
I'm remembering that scene from "Bring On The Night" when some reporter called him "Gordon" and Sting got all bent out of shape. I wonder what pet names Trudie has for him -
'schnookums'? 'poopsie'? 'that moody @#$%&*!' ??
Actually Trudie calls him "Pookie"...said in a MuchMusic interview around 2003, I think. Another name is also fancied but this is adult stuff;-))))))

I notice that Stewart calls Sting, "Stingo" quite a lot, but of course when they argue they will switch to names of another kind.....LOL

Yeah, he calls him Stingo in Everyone Stares too.
Can you imagine the Anglo-American diatribe
"Asshole!"
"Arsehole!"
"Bullshit!"
"Bollocks!"
"Dickhead!"
"C***face"...

"I love you!"
"I love you too"
HUGS to the point of embarassment

I remember on "The Secret Policeman's Ball" Michael Palin from Monty Python called him 'String'.
