Thoughts on the Sun-Times from a life-long Chicago Suburbanite:

1. Sun-Times likes to go after corporations (ie their sports columnists attack the Cubs often not just for poor play but because they are owned by the Tribune, a competitor).

2. At best they are the 3rd or 4th paper in town...(I would take the Trib, Daily Herald, Northwest Herald, or even Daily Southtown first).

3. They regularly have Jesse Jackson and Jerry Springer (yes that Jerry Springer) write editorial columns.

4. Always remember the age-old credo about critics.

"Critics are like eunechs at a gang-bang"
--Source unknown.

Again everything I listed above is my opinion, but the Sun-Times is the tabloid paper in town, so conveniant to read on the train at a restaurant, etc...thus why it is popular, also it is written at a lower reading level than the others listed above.

Different view from a different paper. I am looking forward to Friday night.

Dive, you're going to find that many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on our own point of view...
