Tube Sock Heaven!

Postby Divemistress of the Dark on 02 Jul 2007 21:59

Hey folks, the ones Gina and I are sporting over there came from an outfit called Journeys, which sells Converse, Vans and such at the mall near my house. I'm on a slow as hell dialup connection or I'd find a link...

Sockii!!!! Um, don't buy red, yellow and blue socks. A little bird already put some in the mail for you, along with some green ones. (The Journeys ones are like 5 pair for 10 bucks, which shouldn't break anyone's bank. If you just can't find 'em and are desperate for a pair, email me and I'll see what I can do. Please really look first, though; it may be a bit hard for me to dig up two dozen sets of the things.)

EDIT: Hey, lookie here!!!

Wow! Who knew that tube socks were the one fashion accessory screaming for inclusion in my wardrobe?!?!

All those pretty colors! I couldn't hold myself back...think I bought about 12 pair!! What a freakin' consumer I am!

(Whether these suckers will ever see the light of day is another subject all together!!)

OMG! STEWART, DO YOU SEE WHAT YOU'VE DONE!!??

Otherwise sane, mature individuals wearing GYM SOCKS in public!!!!!

(I really do think Sting and Andy must be jealous. Tube sock wearing, flag toting groupies showing their Stew love at every show!)
Stewart and Stanley together again!! YO!

OMG!! No one has accused me of sanity or maturity for the LONGEST time!!
(I do keep hearing things like "intervention" and "for her own good," however!)

Ok. Maybe "sane" and "mature" were poor choices with reference to this
group. Stewart himself said we were 'not normal.'

But, gym socks in public people? What's next, bra straps hanging out?
Oh, wait....nevermind.

All I gotta say is I hope to hell there is a Dinner Tale from the man about all our Krazy sock wearing escapades. :)

And yes, I wore mine hiked up at the show. I wonder if he noticed?

It may have been my imagination, but I thought The Flag got a head nod out of Andy tonight.

Maybe he'll figure out that, if he'd ever get off the dime and put a forum on his own site, that some of us might show up at shows wearing those high-soled shoes that wouldn't work his pedals, or pink sneakers.

Not a bad idea, actually! HM!

By the way, when I rock my rasta tubes at Fenway it will be the FIRST TIME I have EVER worn tube socks in my life.

Indeed, we have finally found a way for me to be a virgin again

stewart was the only punk I knew and the only man I have ever found attractive in tubes- except for the Peppers but those weren't on the feet!
So, no tube avatar for me til Fenway.

besides, how could I compete with the tube sock sexiness on these threads??????????????????????

I didn't get quite so much of a head nod as you did- it was more of a "what the fuck is that silly flag supposed to mean?" look from him- he seemed a little perturbed. ;) Hehe! The whole time I was thinking "Andy MOVE!!! I NEED STEWART TO SEE THIS!!!"

Sorry Andy :(

I think that's Andy's default facial expression - 'peturbed'.

WOW- my tube socks have arrived already from the site! Awesome.

My husband was like"what are these for?"
However, he was only slightly sarcastic when I modelled them and told him they are the Stewhead version of stocking and garter belts. I could have sworn i got a "grrrrr."

In a good way??

;) My problem is that a.) I have no shame, and b.) you would not believe the conversations I've had with already-excited Police fans at the concerts.

Seems to just fire everyone up that much more to see other fans taking the love to an extreme. Hey, we've waited this long to see this tour; why not celebrate a little? :)

(Last night at the St Louis fan get-together people had on red/yellow/blue hair clips, Police badge earrings, and all sorts of vintage t-shirts. SC.netters are not the only ones making the most of the occasion!)
