to Alex and everybody

Postby giovanni on 19 Apr 2007 21:14

Hi Alex and everybody else; we can also talk separately but I feel like everybody reading this:

Roxanne75 is well known among the various Police/Sting and related forums for some time now; we're all trying to give an hand and we will probably keep on doing it, separately, on personal e-mails.
There might be tons of reasons for someone to act like that, and each reason may have a valid source, but this is a public forum for Stewart Copeland fans, for curious visitors into Stewart/Police music, for medias (radios, tv producers, journalists, promoters) looking for news about Stewart/Police, and I don't sincerely feel like let them read issues that have nothing to do with what they are looking for (sometimes we got OT discussions and threads, but in a very low percentage and always on a good and funny mood).

Yeah, i've found there's very little to be gained posting to threads like those. Longtimers here will remember the "katie" debacle... shudders! Things like that tend to make me take a break from the board. You can never really know what's motivating the poster and if it turns out to be someone truly in need of help, there's every chance in the world you could do that person more harm than good. I just steer clear...

Oh my...

I miss all the fun everytime I go AWOL. Death (of my computer) and taxes (need I say more?) have been consuming me. So happy I can try to catch up on all these boards. Seems like they've gone haywire everywhere in the past month!

Must have been bad, I presume it's the same one referenced at AUI...
So did I miss anything exciting? I was expecting to read "Boys Gone Wild", (like Stewart broke Sting's arm during rehearsals) but looks like the honeymoon's going strong! So very happy, I (still) can't believe this is happening!

I agree with Gio. Some months ago she was on Stingus forum, writing the same things. And before she was banned by Sting.com and Dom site. If she has troubles we are all sorry for her, but a public forum is not the right place to discuss them. We are all here because we love The Police and its members.....

One poster said that it was best not to reply and he's probably right because by replying you give the poster a captive audience. But at the time i was trying to get a handle on the situation and wasn't sure if it was a prank or not.

It was very disturbing to read after the fourth or fifth post because it seemed the poster wasn't joking after all and a scewed view on things.

I stopped posting for a month two last year when one of the poster's appeared to invent a story about having cancer when they didn't just to get attention from other posters. I'm 31 and can do without all this silliness. You get it in these american chat rooms like aol where everyone is fighting for attention. It's a waste of time in some of these chat rooms as you can't have intelligent debate and people are writing in monosyllabic way with lots abbreviations. Just wasting my life on there.
