See, I like "Sunday Morning" the best and I think that one sounds like Stevie Wonder. To each their own. :)

I'm going to take diuretics starting the day before, so I'm dry for the concert.

;)

I may check these guys out if they're kind of Stevie-Wonderlike. But are we talking about 'Superstition' or 'I Just Called to Say I Love You'...?

Yeah, for big shows (such as this one) I have a 0 beverage allowance. I haven't yet gotten to the point where I'll stock up on Depends before a show but I could certainly see the benefits. :) Not to gross anyone out...

From Rolling Stone (Austin Skaggs comumn):

"Maroon 5 (”It’s so weird the Police are getting back together just as our Police rip-off record is coming out,” jokes Adam Levine of the band’s upcoming album, It Won’t Be Soon Before Long)"

Well, I guess it's good it's a band younger people can relate to...

I don't really listen to the radio either but I mentioned that song since I heard it a bunch of times while I was out...getting a haircut...at the store...in the bookstore...watching CSI...wherever I went, for a while :)

To answer you question Jennie, that announcement was posted in TPT boards by the head admins. That's the only show mentioned so far for them but I hope you get a chance to see them open for the Police :)

It's funny how Depends keep coming up in concert contexts--there's like a 9 pg. thread at inforoo (and even mention of catheter systems, lmao)--I think people may be wearing down to the idea.....giggles

As for opening bands, I will stay and watch no matter what and I will be in the best mood so will be the most receptive audience member to whatever...this is what I have been waiting for!

The reason I will always stay for the opening act: I remember the time that I went to see "The Other Ones" and Ziggy Marley opened for them...the audience was virtually empty when he started...so much so that the music for Ziggy's set reverberated off the empty hard seats creating a sort of strange echo effect...most people were still outside in the lot, partying or what have you…people started filing in most way through the set...and it was really loud, the entrance en masse…Personally, I was like wtf...first of all, this is Ziggy F'in Marley...doing the toughest set, beautiful "Redemption Song,"...but that’s just me, I <3 Ziggy Marley ever since I heard "Tomorrow People"…but even if I didn't go to that show to actually see both acts I decided that even if I didn't like opening act, my rear will stay planted in seat for the whole show...at least until the necessary trip becomes unavoidable...and that's tough for me, I have to drink like 2 gal. of water a day...so back to Depends idea /giggle
