My blog of the (almost) Whiskey A-Go-Go review

Postby sockii on 14 Feb 2007 14:06

>I can't wait to see your pictures, sockii. I only took a few because
>I was having so much fun.

I only got a few pictures myself, they're up now on my report page:

http://www.tookooltokalypso.org/whisky.html

Anyone else who was there and has pictures to share, please send 'em my way if you like so I can add them to the photo album.

PS: Conroy, I'd love to archive your report on the site as well. Just let me know if you're okay with that or not.

Conroy, what a wonderful report!!! I am so glad that you went even if you didn't get in. You still had me sitting on the edge of my seat reading your review.

I love the pictures sockii!!! You all look so very happy. What an experience. Rock on, my friends. :D

Sting.com first announced (was it Tuesday) that Legacy members on their site would have a chance to win 20 tickets.

Some of us ( *cough* ) were not pleased at this apparent injustice to Stew & Andy fans, that we did not even have a chance at it.

How/when/why things changed (or if they didn't change at all, who knows), Gio later annouced a select number of passes available to sc.net members.

A couple radio stations were also giving out tickets as a contest drawing.

Incidentally, when they were checking people's names off the winners list, I noticed some folks were listed there as folks who got tickets from Andy, but I have no idea if they were just personal guests (though you'd think they'd just be on the VIP list then) or somehow got those passes otherwise. It's kind of a shame Andy's webpage or myspace page doesn't seem as active as ours does for things like this...with the book giveaway earlier this year I thought more stuff might be happening on Andy's myspace site but it's been pretty inactive since the fall.

I'm a bad fan! I didn't even know he had one. *heads off to MySpace*

Conroy, hats off to you, laddie, for the massive effort. It was a valiant effort and kind of inspiring for me to read, if that's any consolation to you. You covered yourself in glory.

It sucks, because a hardcore fan like you is much more deserving to get in than someone who's just some Best Buy Platinum zone level 642 member or whatever.

Great blog Conroy!

Not sure about trying the old plunging neckline trick tho, but hey - if you have the figure go for it!
