Gave it one listen so far. It well...hmph.

And people wonder why The Police thought it better to leave their old catalog as is and not try to record something new...

(That said of course vespa and I are going to see the tour and I'll give the entire new album a listen when it comes out...but I can't say I was overwhelmed by what we heard here.)

I for one am really enjoying the Tattoo single. I did find, like many others, that it's a grower. Having said that, I think the album will have better songs. I do think that Van Halen has a leg up on The Police by showing they can and did record new material.

I to gave it one listen and got bored pretty quick. But I was never a HUGE VH fan. But Eddie looks like he is back in shape and looks good. If he can keep the demons at bay for the Tour it should be pretty incredible.
That said, if the Mrs., who is a bigger fan, gets the album and wants to go to the show, I'm in.
They are playing Southern CA in June. The Anaheim, CA show is the same place and almost four years to the day that I saw my second Tourzilla show.
