I always liked his red Precision. Sure, some of the others were pretty cool, but something about that Fender just clicked with me (probably because of the period when it was used).

Most four-string basses use a standard tuning of EADG, but on the bridge of Wrapped Around Your Finger, the bass drops down to the low D, a full step lower than the open E. Since I've never known Sting to play a five-string bass, I assume that he lowered the tuning for the recording. In the Synchronicity concert video, he just plays the D up an octave. Does anyone know if he was trying out a five-sting, or just de-tuning his four-string?

I'm going to bet money that Sting did a "drop D" instead of using a five string.

Definitely the Steinberger L-2. As I watched Outlandos to Synchronicities the first time, I immidiately loved it :shock:
It's by far one of my favorite basses, even non-Sting basses. I even tried once one, and it's just.. kool 8)
