I'm glad you all liked it and that the collective tour memories may now find a place on the Police wiki
(although I would have preferred a book for my collection) !

If I'm remembering right, the idea behind the stories and photo contributions
collected months ago was to print a fanzine and anything over the costs of
printing it off at a Kinko/Fedex would go to the Leroy Coolbreeze foundation...??
I thought that was a lovely, simple idea when I read about it ages ago
and mailed a photo that i still dont know whether was received or not-
I was really looking forward to receiving the fanzine and being able
to read everyone's accounts, and am disappointed that the great idea's
being abandoned all this time later...

Pssssst....Sandy....Read the other thread. The "this is not our last goodbye" one - the book is still on, it's just gonna be a Wiki first.
On Google - site:stewartcopeland.net "your keyword here" - thanks DM!!

It's gonna be a sub-section of the wiki, not a wiki in and of itself :) Just because it will be easier (for me) to do the basic formatting that way and I was having difficulty getting the format and editing together for publishing as it was getting just so darned HUGE (like over 400 pages, close to beyond what could "easily" be self-published.)

Once that's done I'll be happy to turn the project over to someone else if they are interested in doing the book publishing aspect of it -- because I don't want to hold it up for another year or two which, knowing my current responsibilities and time commitments, is what it could take. Because it would be great to have a nicely printed version + maybe raise some money for charity for it, but literally I was looking at each printed copy at this size costing around $100 with color photography inside and I just hadn't found a better, more economical solution without reformatting all the photos and artwork for b/w instead.

Thank you for the update Sockii! I had no idea that the material had become so
unwieldy - that explains everything ! Didnt guess what you might be up
against with a project like that ; that's a far bigger response than I had imagined.
It's impressive that so many folks had a story they wanted to share, and book or
no book , im grateful for your efforts in amassing it all, thank you very much !

Laughing my ass off: "To my right were Ron, Arpeggio, Steve from Manchester and then the nutter-smorgasboard from hell..."

and

"+ all the female nutters would get to see Stewart stripping. "

I will never call you a selfish man.

"And what I wouldn't have thought when starting the tour is that meeting people would be one of the most important parts of it all!! "

You're a pretty special dude yourself ;)
