I think it's a gig in Orange. I think I heard Stewart or Andy saying it was there. But since there isn't an Oragne gig in Rogier's Police Page, so it could be the Frejus concert.

smax is probably on the right path here. As I said in my previous post, definitely before 1980. I saw the footage five months after I joined. No shows, that I worked during that period, had a camera behind Stewart.

hm... just restating, it's categorically NOT frejus, as already mentioned on the first page of this thread, because at that show, XTC joined the police on stage for 'so lonely'. you can see that footage in "Urgh!".

What a curious thing that thus far it's an undated show... i think we'll get there though!

i listened back to a recording of 22/09/79 hammersmith odeon the other day and it’s not that show – i posted this earlier in the thread, on page 1....

however, according to dietmar’s analysis, it’s from the second night – 23/9/79

and damn if there isn’t a circulating recording of that gig!

fyi all, the footage from this ‘bit’ which is in ES doesn’t contain the angry sting part, for some reason. it’s only in ‘outlandos to synchronicities’...
