How'd you come up with your username?

Postby xyzman on 03 Aug 2008 00:30

I will bite also ....

This is quite simple - nothing to do with Andy's solo album or any connection with Rush - it's the only thing I could think of when I joined a Killing Joke forum a few years back!

Sorry for being boring but there you go!

OK, I’ll bite too, although an explanation is hardly necessary. I live in Vermont and I’m a fan…..DUH! Truth is I’m pretty new to post at all and didn’t think my name through very well.

There is one cool thing that ties where I live to Stewart, though. I live very close to “The Barn”, you know, where The Grand Pecking Order was recorded.
I was stunned by that user name choice. Uh, what about "Blooms"? That couldn't have been taken.

*certain no one knows what the hell I'm talking about*
You mussed have missed in the quote "DIDN'T THINK". Besides, you're the only one who still calls me Blooms. So how come you're not Molingo? I think MSG is going to be very interesting when two of your worlds collide. :)
Totally saw the "Didn't think" part. Was just fucking with you since I know you are one person who won't get pissed at me for fucking with you. By the way, I am not the only person left who calls you Blooms. My daughter calls you that. :D

And I knew you would bring up the "why am I not Molingo" question. Answer: "I didn't think" :D

"Jack Pozzi" is a character in Paul Auster's Novel "The Music of Chance". Made into a film (1993). Produced by Miles Copeland. Other than that, I don't know.

I was in high school when The Police arrived in the US...and from the start Stewart was for me (while most of my friends were interested in Sting). As a result of my fascination with Stewart, I would get the "Oh, she's a Copeland girl" remark quite often, rather sarcastically I might add (gee I wonder where those "tools" are today...I guarantee they won't be at MSG this week courtesy of Stewart).

So there you have the "Copeland_girl" portion...and the "5" was just added because of my computer programming training...just can't shake the alpha/numeric methodology. 8)

Miles produced that? Who knew? Well, other than you, of course. Wasn't that a film starring Mandy Patenkin, James Spader and Joel Grey? Two card hustlers who end up getting "hustled"? Too lazy to check IMDB right now.

Love the obscure connection. :D

Outside of my wife and 9 year old son, my favorite thing in this life is University of Alabama Crimson Tide football, hence the Tidezealot.

We live a 13 hour drive away from Tuscaloosa and have been season ticket holders for years. That's what zealotry will do to you.

I'm interested in all your user-names.
The first, I had some ideas as for my user-name,
but after all I selected my real name.
Cos our Japanese names has pretty defferent sounds from your's,
so I thought that our real name will be perfect for the user name.
and my kanji-name has a wonderful meaning with it.

My name Masayo "真世" means "True World"
and my family name's mening is "Forever Friends"
I love my name!!!

Masayo :P :P :P

My uncles used to affectionately (I think!) call me a daft tart on occasions. I chose it for my hotmail address many years ago, and being a bear of small brain, decided to stick with it in most places because I'd be rubbish at remembering loads of different user names :?

I'm not sure it's so clever now that I'm 40 though!!

Miles Copeland III still owned I.R.S. Records at the time, as far as I know
