STREAMING NOW: 18 hour Police (and related) radio marathon

Postby BongoBoy on 13 Jul 2007 19:26

I think Conroy got her a shirt (I think) I guess I'll keep my eyes open for the tube socks for her?

Heh, heh. Were Cool !

If reporters come here this story will get picked up and twisted into some braindead headline grab.

" Stewart Copeland fans got together and sent "Rude Smocks" over to a radio station for playing to much Sting"

next day "We would like to retract yesterdays story, it was "tube socks".

Thanks for the fun day.

Yeah, Bongo, I did order her a t-shirt. She sent me a nice e-mail thanking me and she said she'd wear it proudly. And I'll send her one of my extra pairs of tube socks that I haven't worn yet.

Phaty, we missed you yesterday as it had you written all over it, though it was so out of control I don't know if we could have handled the power but I hope we get to do this again sometime for all the people who couldn't make this momentous event.

Thanks for the well wishes....it's been an exceedingly *long* last year and a half, so the end of this month cannot come soon enough for all of us.

I was quite tired, and *finally* caught up with all these damn posts here when I spotted this thread. I do need to get myself a decent set of headphones though....finally got an iPod, but those earbuds suck big time.

The earbuds do suck, but they're better than nothing.

Considering how long the chemo has been and how close to the end you are, "Congratulations!" sound like they are in order as well.

Plus, you deserve kudos for actually reading this thread!

My good friend had the trifecta from hell of the American Medical System's version of cancer treatment....surgery, 4 months of radiation, and I don't even know how long now of chemo. What great options....cut it, burn it, poison it. Thank you pharmaceutical companies for making sure all natural treatments for cancer never see the light of day!! We the little people sure appreciate it.

But I'm not bitter, I swear! This forum sure has helped me alot though....especially the last few months. Everyone's sense of humor is a pure delight!

Holy hell girl! I didn't read the whole thread....I barely have time to keep up with all the standard sized ones!! I can only do J.R.R. Tolkien once every few years....this thread is like the message board version of Lord of the Rings.

I've actually been drooling over those headphones shure makes....the earbuds that go inside your ear canal? They're kind of like the poor man's version of the on-stage monitoring units all the pro musicians use these days...

Egads. Those headphones would just freak me out. I've got kind of sensitive hearing (it's my only super power, unless sarcasm counts), so I feel uncomfortable when my ears are blocked like that. Inner ear earplugs alone completely screw with my equilibrium -- plus there's the sound of one's heart and one's breathing and that thick oceany sound/feeling --- *shiver*.

Glad to hear that your friend's trifecta of hell is soon ended.
