Well, it's that time of year again.

So far, announced acts include:

* JIMMY CLIFF!!!!! YEAH!!!!!
* Damien Marley
* Dave Matthews Band
* Dead Weather - awesome!
* Kings of Leon (who play a great live show, IMO, even tho I'm underwhelmed by their latest album)
* Flaming Lips playing 'Dark Side of the Moon' with Stardeath and White Dwarves (FL offshoot bands) (wowzers! I'm going to this, even tho it'll likely be cram-ass crowded)
* Jeff Beck
* the xx
* Regina Spektor
* John Fogerty
* Steve Martin - yes, that one - who I heard played a great show at the Ryman this fall (banjo)
* The National
* John Prine
* Gwar!
* They Might be Giants (who I can't stand, but I get why people dig 'em)
* Thievery Corp (yeah!!!!)
* Baaba Maal
* Tokyo Police Club
* Avett Bros. (yay!)

We're in, probably gonna stay at the Hampton Inn in Murfreesboro.
No Oysterhead, dammit. But you can't have everything, I guess...

(lemme know if anyone's thinking of coming out for this...it's an 'off' year for the Supercats, darnit...)

Still rumored: Led Zep, Prince...

Jesus. Considering Prince is one of the few artists left on my bucket list, I'd be grinning like a fool.

There's nothing past April on the TCV schedule, so maybe JPJ's available.

Martin has a remarkable quantity of talents. In addition to being a very funny commedian and skilled actor, he is a good muscian and a fine novelist. No one should be good in that many areas.

*bumpty*

Already out here, camped out in the hotel putting together a list of bands to see. Supercats are already in place out at the venue. We'll check in if anyone can get a phone signal!

(If any Nutters are here and for some reason I don't know it - email divemistressofthedark at y aho o dot com)

Highlights this year: Dr. John, Robert Plant, Black Keys, Ray LaMontagne, Bootsy Collins...but some of the downbill acts look fantastic as well. Actually, that's my favorite Bonnaroo - shows you'd like to check out but you're not desperate to, in case something's unexpectedly packed and you can't see.)

I'm gonna miss the Flaming Lips and the Avett Bros. this year, tho.

So far so good but way limited bandwidth :( bands have been excellent. It's crazy hot and Black Uhuru burning it down currently ;) tonight: Bootsy, Black Keys, Dr John...

Sigh. Am typing this from same field where oysterhead, Police played...those were the days...

Anyone catch Hanni El Khatib?

Just curious. He is opening tonight and tomorrow for Florence + The Machine at the Greek Theater here in LA.

I am going to the show tomorrow night.
