hi

I've heard that tomorrow's Times will feature a mag with THE POLICE on the cover. Look out for that one!

Hmm...wonder if any of the good US book/magazine stores will have it? (I think our big Barnes & Noble here has some European newspapers, dont know for sure that they get the Sunday ones, though...)

It's up!

(insanely long link, which I have condensed here:

http://tinyurl.com/2a8a82 )

You know, I enjoyed Sting more in this interview than I have in a long, long, long time. Maybe Stewart is right and he's not gonna be namby-pamby. I dearly hope that is true.

Minor gripes: Not enough Stewart; some glaring fact-checking issues (the movie is not called "EveryBODY Stares", amongst a few other things)...can't wait to see the photos, tho.
On Google - site:stewartcopeland.net "your keyword here" - thanks DM!!

no, I'm not part of that site
I do send the occasional ticket or memorabilia scans to them, but that's all...

I knew about this Sunday Times mag, because some people were selling advance issues on ebay.

thank you josé

the article is absolutely awesome! I’ve never read such a paper aboud the band. Thanks to the author named Chrissy Iley.

Quote:
"And here come tears now. He’s mumbling; not whole sentences, just odd words. I make out “bond of brothers”. He looks at me, full, fat tears now rolling down his face. “You know, we are doing it for each other.” I start crying too. It’s easy to feel Sting’s emotion when he’s projecting it in stadiums; in a hotel room, it’s shattering. Then we laugh hysterically. They never used to have those moments of group bonding, a convergence of souls before the show. “We never had that. We grew apart within this vortex of tension. We stopped connecting and I want to fix that.”

too bad that Dortmund's railway station only offered the international version of the Sunday Times (which was printed in Brussels).

this one doesn't have the whole page cover photo

however it's got a small POLICE photo on the cover of the newspaper and a two page article in the international supplement - the setlist photo is missing, but there are nice new photos by Kevin Mazur and old ones by Andy Summers

will send a copy to everybody interested for expenses only
