As said before, I would love it to be Fall Out - purely as this 30 year anniversary is about the release of the first single!

Nothing Achieving would also be great - especially as a tribute to Ian Copeland who helped with the lyrics - but I would be amazed if that happened.

Here's hoping ....

Technically it's only 4 years...don't forget the RnR Hall of Fame show...

That's why I voted Don't Stand- they played Message/Roxanne/EBYT at the RRHoF, it'd be nice to hear something different.

Of course there's probably a 90% chance of it being Roxanne. ;)

I think I'm down to saying I'll be happy if it's anything but EBYT.
On Google - site:stewartcopeland.net "your keyword here" - thanks DM!!

I've noticed a lot of hate for EBYT on here. I guess I'm in the minority - it's still my all-time favorite song, and I never get tired of it. I love Stewart's simple yet powerful drumming in that song. As Phil Collins once said when asked about the overexposure of "In The Air Tonight": Hey, I just recorded the thing - it's not my fault it was played and played and played... (or something like that)

Anyway, I don't think Every Breath is an appropriate opening song, anyway. They need to start with something fast and furious, like Next to You or Synchronicity I. But since you'd think they'd go with a bigger hit, I'll go for Don't Stand. Or Don't Box Me In! :D

ok ok..if you're being pernickity you include the RRHoF but I meant since they were a proper band...

also sorry but i included an "other"option for those who didnt agree with any of many options, but it seems it disappeared...

Synchronicity

I'm really hoping to hear Synchronicity... and it'll be mind blowing if its the very first song of their set.

I would have listed Next To You as a poll selection. They opened many shows with that in the early days.

It would be my vote, too!

I voted for "Message," assuming that they'd close the show with "Roxanne," but I'm hoping for "Synchronicity I" or "Next to You."

By the way, I wasn't sure this deserved a whole new thread, but the Grammys' web page has a poll for "Your favorite Police song."

Your only choices are "Every Breath," "Message," "De Do Do Do," and "Roxanne."

I vote for "No time this time".

It´s been played live very few times and also, I guess it would be perfect for the first song of the first encore.
