Stockholm FLAC

Stockholm FLAC

Postby TheEqualizer on 03 Sep 2007 20:06

I know that some people on this forum have expressed various feeling about "bootlegs." Regardless, the recording of the Stockholm show is so good that I have decided to say "screw it" and post the show despite any objection anyone may have about it. Its in FLAC format. It just sounds so good it would be a shame not to share it.

until the record label gets off their ass and actually RELEASES something apart from yet another greatest hits package, they can take any issues they have with bootlegs and stick them up their nose.

Yes, amazing sound, thank you all for taping and sharing. One question though, I'm listening via Media Monkey, but can't seem to burn onto a disc using Nero. Any suggestions on what I need to do?

Much thanks for the recording!! Listening to it now... as much as I never did like the new Don't Stand So Close To Me on this tour, this is probably the best I've heard it so far... so far so good!!

I heard people complaining over at TPT that this recording was corrupted. Is anyone having such a problem?

Also, Laz, what's up with still not having an avatar? You almost have 300 posts already! You have a ton of great pics to use after the Guitar Center event. If I were you, I would use the one where SC is saying "No no" to you or the one I took with you sitting next to the Grammys kit or pointing at Stewart's ride.

Listening to my other "least favorite" from this tour, Truth Hits Everybody... DEFINITELY THE BEST I'VE HEARD IT SO FAR ON THIS TOUR!!! It FINALLY occurred to Sting to play that one bass note in the chorus!! After having been to 6 shows so far on this tour in the States, I think I'm genuinely jealous of the folks in Europe right now. I'm starting to think that whoever joked about the North America leg being merely warm-up shows for the European leg might not have been kidding!

I think they FINALLY cracked Truth Hits Everybody. LOVE the new arrangement. Keep it up, PLEASE!!

They're FLAC files... you'll need something like http://members.home.nl/w.speek/download ... ontend.zip

to convert from FLAC to WAV files and then to MP3 with iTunes or something. A bit time-consuming, but hey...
Trust me, it's worth it.

Gotta tell you. I'm majorly McLovin' the Stockholm version of Hole in My Life. This is how their reworkings should be: tweaked just enough to make it sound fresh while still being pretty true to the original.
