Name that Stew-une

"Magic" by the Cars. Wait. Stewart didn't write that one.

As far as sountrack albums exclusively by Stewart, I am not aware of too many of them. Of course, there is Rumble Fish and The Rhythmatist. I don't think that Equalizer counts. Then you have Leopard Son. I don't have Noah's Ark so I'm not sure if that is a soundtrack or really anything about it. Finally, years ago, I got a CD that contained both Talk Radio and Wall Street, as the individual soundtrack CDs for them are quite short.

I assume you have Rumble Fish and The Rhythmatist. Leopard Son is good (Stanley Clarke on bass), but my personal favorite (other than RF and Rhy) is the Wall Street/Talk Radio disc. Hmmm. Trying to think of how to decribe them. Maybe I'll be more elloquent later.

Anyone else know of any other official releases of soundtrack CDs that contain solely Stewart's music?

Oh yeah, there's Highlander II (or was it I or III). The reason I forget is that there is a disc containing the soundtrack for all three movies. Don't own it. Heard it a few times. Wasn't really loving it.

I have Leopard Son - love it,I think he gets African music right to the heart. I bought, following your advice, Talk radio and Wall Street (they were on sale together on the English amazon). I have Simpatico and like it too, not as much as the ethnic stuff. Stewart is a multicultural person, so he picks up unfamiliar vibes easily.

I also took a risk and bought Silent Fall, I liked the cover and apparently the soundtrack is all Stewart. If so, it cannot be bad. There is private seller on Amazon.uk who seems to have a lot of Stew solo stuff (prices are great for the British, not so great for US dwellers these days).
Didn't you tell me Highlander was NOT good (maybe you were referring to the movie)?

P.S. Rumble Fish and Rhythmatist I had in the vinyl version and have in the CD version. Rhythmatist the movie is my next goal, but if it was ever put out, it seems not to be on the market anymore.
