Done loads of sample loop tracks before by myself and with a producer and approached record companies and they're not interested generally. I think they have their own people for that. The best thing to do is start off your own label and then release things like that however it takes time money and most of us have other commitents but I'd like to think one day i'll be able to set up my own label and have sucess. I've got lots of friends who did it in the early 90's and stillnow but mainly hardacore(back then) and house/dance/electro now but have a good friend from Bognor Regis who is having some minor sucess in states and europe with electro called Scape One.
I was always told that there is a law that states as long as a song is over 25 years old and the sample is not longer than 10 seconds that any material can be reproduced but I've also been told that certain songs have excemptions from this. But as for the Every Stand You Take (I think thats what its called) maybe JP has only 1 year to wait.
But maybe Stingo is approachable as in 1999/2000 round the time of that RunDMC v Jason Nevins bullshit there was some guy ie Police v DJ track with Voices Inside My Head sampled. Stingo must've agreed to that one and also the shambolic Puff Daddy or P Diddy or Diddy or whatever. Sting only agrees to things like that to help his bank balance and ego. Dont get me wrong great song writer but and agree totally with not destroying Amazon etc but think hes all me me me and a mr know it all. He comes across as shady.
Anyway thats enough ranting. Just trying realease negative energy to get over the pathetic display of football. Engalnd 1, Germany 2. Well done Dietmar (SC doppleganger with bald head) unlucky Franco and other English lads and ladies. We started of great but the keeper made a fatal error and I believe he wont be back for a while as he was subbed by donkey James.
I've cracked enough jokes and I've smoked enough smokes...........
