Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum. I've been reading up on your posts and replies, and I like the group here.
I wanted to share my experience at the Reunion tour stop in Hartford CT.
I was up on my feet the whole time, going nuts! Dancing and jumping around, singing along to the songs. The music was ON. Stewart was ON. There wasn't a timing problem, sound problem, or anything that I could see. It was better than a cd. There's only one other time I thought a band sounded better live than on cd, so that's one of the highest compliments I can think to give. The concert brought the magic back...magic of memories and emotions from "back in the day," as well as how the music corresponds with present day situations in my life. It was as much an emotional concert for me as well as absolute excitement. The music sounded incredible, I am having a hard time finding the words to describe it. But for a group I've been listening to for the better part of 30 years, to move me so much during a live performance, to have that energy and charisma....It was a feast for my eyes and ears, and I left there sad to see it end and not believing 2 hours went by THAT fast.
I've always been a fan of his, and since I began drumming I have noticed how individual his style is. Not only in his sound, but his technique too. I got Every Breath You Take (dvd) as a Christmas gift, and I taped Everybody's Watching when it aired in my area, and I have to thank you Stewart for sharing that footage and opening that door to us fans. I hope the rest of the tour is successful, and you have a great time. You're making alot of people happy.
