Has DSSCTM gotten a lot better recently?

Being from the west coast, when I saw the Police, Don't Stand was really lame. However, I have been listening/ looking at You Tube videos from the more recent shows, and Don't Stand does not seem that lame any more, and in fact sounds pretty good (though not as good as on their prior tours, at least vocally). The only real changes that I have notice is an increase in tempo. Am I missing any other changes?

Anyway, I know that listening to bootlegs and YouTube clips is no substitute to hearing them live. So I was wondering, for those who have seen them live recently, if Don't Stand has in fact gotten better since the west coast tours (or am I just getting used to the changes) and if so, why (is it the tempo alone?)

It absolutely has!!! I have been to a bunch of recent shows and I would say, in my opinion, it really started picking up stride in Cleveland - that is where I first noticed it, anyway!

I am really pleased with where the song is now. Last night, at MSG, it sounded as close to the original, while still keeping it fresh, as possible.

Definitely upload the recent boots - you will be pleased!

Yeah I think it was much better last night than it was two weeks ago in Philly! I totally agree with what Donna said about it being close to the original but still a little varied.

are you a TPT member as well? Almost every show has a boot posted on Recordings/Songs, which is great b/c you can get a copy of the shows you attend.

If you are not, let me know - I would be happy to burn some for you. I only have MP3 format - I'm not the tech wiz, but I can get you a dvd or two! What shows are you looking at specifically?

having not seen any shows in the middle- difference from West Coast to East Coast was astounding.

It is definitely refreshed but SOOOO much more rockin' now. It has its naughty edge back. thank god!
