Does anyone REALLY want to see a new Police record?

Postby Programgirl on 10 Jul 2007 01:50

Fuck you won't offend me. I think it's a great term of endearment. What better way to show someone you care than to offer to tickle them in the unmentionables? I say it to Lord PG all the time, but it's usually in the form of a question or suggestion. :P

Hey i think they still have the chemistry and energy to pull it off. It's all about inspiration and just jam, i think they still have a few hidden songs that they came up with.

Another Oysterhead album is always welcome, though i am not crazy about Trey's guitar playing and singing. I find that he "hippiefises" certain contributions. I would trade him with Steve Stevens who is definitly a good match for Stewart and have Mike Patton (Faith No More) and Les sing ... How about that ?

I so love the way that "(noun)ify" has become a way to build a verb.

Mike Patton's an interesting idea, but I kinda like the way Trey tempers Les. Otherwise, it would be Primus. And I like Primus, but I'd rather hear Oysterhead when listening to Oysterhead.

 I shouldn't type before the second cup, should I?

Welcome Lady PG Weasel. Your banter has caused me many fits of laughter this morning. (A giggle is the best way to start the day.)

DM are you adding more and more green stripes to that avatar?

I like Oysterhead's chemistry, each person brings their own vibe. Mess with the equation and you get something totally different. All in all, I'd love to hear whatever Stewart has in store for us next, whether it's with the Police, Oysterhead, a symphony, ballet or opera. Or, hell, how about a book? The memoirs of Stewart Copeland would go over great.

Nope, all those stripes were added originally, Mardee. (Although I did have to temper Moeskido from adding even more at one point.)

Sure I want a new record from The Police, with new arrangements from classic old songs, and maybe one or two new...

I wish Stewart could put out an album of his derangements. That would make me completely happy.[/quote]

You and me both Kalypso. I signed up for this forum the day I got the Everyone Stares DVD just to ask where I could get the derangements. Then it took a really long time for my membership to be approved and I sort of forgot about the forum until the tour was announced. But anywho, where the heck can we get the derangements?
Thanks to Sockii (you rockii) for awesome Avatar photo!

Hi DM,

I always make verbs out of everything, i am really bad when it comes to these things. I also mix french with english, it confuses alot of my friends !

Stewart doing another Rythmatist project with Ray Lema or Geoffrey Oreama ... I'd love to see that happen.

Cheers

No new songs please. Let it lie. Even remakes. Who's remembers Don't Stand So 86? Absolute gash. Plus they'd probably end up putting Kanye West or some other joker in the mix like 'Queen' have been doing too much of.

Just my 2p.
