Who gets WDR?
Who can get a fresh DVD, super high quality, stereo (if it's a stereo broadcast) recording of this?

thanks jackie - so do i, two sources.
however if the rebroadcast is in stereo, and someone can record it in maximum possible video / audio quality, then that will constitute an upgrade....

I live in Dortmund, Germany and should get this in good quality
although I already have this in good quality...

good on you, dietmar.
yeah, it's in wide circulation, but as far as i know, even the best version out there is in mono. i wonder if the rebroadcast will be stereo?
secondly, it is possible the rebroadcast may be cleaner video.
to make your recording effort worthwhile, it would be v. important to make sure that you have the best possible audio and video settings set....

I don't live in Germany but I have a lot of german channels via satellite, so my DVD recorder will run this night !!
Canal Jimmy in France did a re-broadcast a few years ago (when Canal Jimmy was a good channel...). I recorded it but it was not complete, only "Born In The 50's" was missing in the set-list. I hope for a complete show this time !

Oh I forgot to say that the first time I recorded it, it was via my old VCR, I did a tranfer later on DVD, so my version is not in stereo. But the image quality is good.

Yeah, I'd love to see a stereo version of the Jan 11, 1980 video show. I believe the best version circulating was captured in 1995, and you can find it at The Trader's Den. A new capture, done with all of the settings cranked up, would be sweeeeeet.

The video show they taped later in the year (again, for Rockpalast) in Essen on Oct 18, 1980 is one of my favorites of all, either video or just audio. Andy is just on FIRE that night.

Bremen, Musikladen (Jan. 18, 1979) show is excellent too !!! one of the first Police concert to be broadcasted on TV.
