Rolling Stone Police Photo Gallery

Has anybody been to the Rolling Stone.com site to check out the Police photo gallery? Has anybody noticed how incorrect some of those captions are?

Photo 1: Reggae-Loving Punks: Stewart Copeland, Andy Summers and Sting circa 1978, when The Police's self-titled debut introduced a killer new sound to the world.

Really? Self Titled?

Photo 3: From the early Eighties, around the time Zenyatta Mondatta made the Police one of the biggest bands in the world.

Funny. Anyone with half a brain knows this is from the Synchronicity album.

Photo 7: Sting and Stewart Copeland argue about who's got the better hair.

Okay, not really incorrect, but I remember that this photo was taken after Dream of the Blue Turtles was released.

Photo 9: Sting, feeling it at the first Police reunion, for the Amnesty International Concert in 1986.

Yeah, not so much. Wrong clothes, wrong bass. Older shot, because I've seen it before.

Photo 13: Rejoice! Following a performance at the 2007 Grammy Awards, the Police announced a full-blown reunion tour, set for summer 2007.

Again, not really incorrect, but at least mention it's from the kick-off concert in Vancouver!

How 'bout posting the other shots from the new photo session?

It would be really nice to see all the 'reject' shots from the RS photo session wouldn't it? Maybe we need to google that photographer - what was his name again? Sometimes photographers put a wide selection of shots from individual shoots on their websites, not just the picture that got published.

is the guy's website...I'd checked a few days ago but there were no Police pics up (yet?)

But yeah...I wish they'd share some of the other photos from that shoot somewhere...
