How it all started......

Georgygirl..

Well......

I must say that all the pictures I have are of the band from their younger days... But they look just as good now as ever (they have aged very well)

And their music has matured along with them, It stills sounds as good today as it did way back when.......

I just love it all!!!

Hi Kim,

Well sitting here transmitting Glitterball (God help us!!!) sounds extremely tame compared to waiting for murders to happen :!: Then again, sometimes watching this cr@p makes me feel like committing murder, so watch this space

May get to see you on the 9th. Hannah is the SC social secretary (not sure if she knows that yet!!) and is hopefully getting a few of us together for a bevvie or two before the gigs.

Hope your night shift stays peaceful :D

lol, Helen the daft tart! x

Glitterball..... Sounds exciting!! Wots that all about then...? Ha you have to watch it now!!!

I'll take you up on a social bevvie it's always lovely to talk to others about my favourite subject without being looked at all strange like!!!

My husband turned to me the other day and said.... "We are married you know, I am your husband!"

I told him I knew but SC was my first love and he just had to understand! Luckily he burst out laughing and thinks it is all very funny!!!

I have definately regressed back to being about 13 years old!! (with a modern twist) I have an SC background on my computer at work (instead of my bedroom walls) My inspector came in and told me it was inapropriate..... I told it was ok as it was SC and he said it wasn't.... I then said it was because he's in The Police..... My Inspector walked off then and I still have the background!!!

Ha wins everytime!!

Kim

I watched the 'Every breath you take' greatest hits DVD the other day at the end of mine is a section Jools Holland did in monseratt and there is the most wonderful interview with Stewart.... (except one of his cymbals kept geting in the way.....)
:D[/quote]

The Montserrat interviews are my absolute favourites, just for being so informal and relaxed :)
Inspired by Stewart's bit I've tought my six-year old daughter to recognize reggae, with the beat on the 'three'. She still gets confused sometimes, saying things like 'this is groovy music but the beat is not on three?' but she gets it right at times too. It's all just for fun :D

I'm also so happy to be reading this board and all the posts of other Police/Stewart freaks :P
Can't help but wonder what the fan experience back in the day would have been like if we'd had the net already? In 1980 I really believed that I on my own totalled 50% of the Police fans in my country

Yeah, I can cope with that mantle! I'm a Twickers local so it seems logical. I'll be going both nights too. I'll firm up arrangements with everyone nearer the time but at the moment the general idea is to meet in The Cabbage Patch (opposite Twickenham station) from lunchtime onwards. I'll sort out some manner of sign to make spotting us easier, possibly the horse logo... but anyway Kimmy, come along and meet all the freaks!
