The blue,red and yellow motif was used a lot on the synchronicity album. What is the idea behind it. And which colour represents which band member?

Well on the standard cover of synchronicity the band of Stewart pics is blue, Sting's band is yellow, and Andy's red...

Blue yellow and red are the primary colors, doubt there is much more of a reason then that.
