Anyone going to see Sing this summer?

The never ending tour that is Sting is making its way back to Chicago (He hasn't been here since Nov 2011) for 2 nights in June. Is anyone planning on seeing him? I am gonna go when it hits town. Was thinking about both nights (tickets are cheap-40 bucks!) but probably will only go to one.

He is playing at Ravinia, which is the absolute worst outdoor arena to see a concert. They have about 1000 ridicuosly overpriced seats which I can't come close to affording and a lawn area that has no sight lines whatsoever. It is like playing in a park. Flat with trees and bushes all around. reverb is terrible and thier are mini video screens set

I saw him there 2 years ago dressed in full police regalia and couldn't believe it. People were drinking expensive wine and eating cheese and grapes without a care in the world about the music. A bunch of rich drunk people trying to out do each other in thier displays of ostentatiousness is NOT my idea of a good time...(swilling cheap whiskey and yelling "where is Stewart is my idea of a good time!)

I have been reminisicing over that magical tour, I wish they would get back together again.
Stay ready...to cut and run.

I would consider it if he came back to the UK, but the tickets were expensive here too & so I could only afford the cheap seats and for me the concert was a bit like how kmart describes, full of people spending more time chatting, eating and drinking, some even sat there playing on ipads for me to really enjoy it.

When he plays in London it is usually a 3 hour drive and then a 45 minute train journey to the gig and the same back home again, so like I said I would consider it, but it would have to be cheaper.

I did the same journey to see Clapton play last week at the Royal Albert Hall and the audience couldn't have been more different. Same age range & ticket price - but more attentive and engaged. Maybe Clapton fans are a different kettle of fish?
"Cuppa cha anyone?"
