Hi all,
I don't know if you like jazz, unlike Stewart !, but here are a few videos of Steve Coleman & 5 Elements:

I just saw him this week in Paris and it was really great. I haven't see him for maybe 10 year and it was a real pleasure.
From a rhythmic point of view, that's crazy: odd rhythms, polyrhythms, etc. Sean Rickman's on drums and he's just impressive as usual. Steve Coleman always had extremely skilled drummers like Marvin Smitty Smith and Gene lake.
Steve Coleman (Alto sax), Jonathan Finlayson (Trumpet), Sean Rickman (Drums), Anthony Tidd (Bass).
By the way, you can freely and legally download a lot of his music on his website here : http://www.m-base.com/download.html
My favorite records: Drop Kick, the Tao of the Mad Phat, Def Trance beat, Curves of Life (I was in the audience of this Paris concert), The Sign and The Seal (Transmissions of the metaphysics of a culture) with cuban musicians, Resistance is futile, if you like Rap: A tales of 3 cities and The way of the Cipher. His last record Functional arrhythmias is excellent too !
Enjoy !
