Jonesin for soundcheck/ grammy nomination!

hey scnutters! i miss you guys!

i am on break from teaching this week and i wanted to reconnect!

Stingo is coming to perform here in atlanta next week during the final four basketball championships. he will also be doing a show here on june 10 at chastain ampetheater.

i never got the chance to attend a soundcheck back during the police reunion tour. even when i won 1st row seats to miami, they were not doing the visitors at soundcheck yet, or i was never notified they were. i went to four shows in 2007 as a fanclub member and never got invited to see a soundcheck.

can one of you help me out or point me in the right direction to make this dream happen?

in other news... I was recently nominated for next year's music educator GRAMMY!! i am very honored and now have to wait to find out if i make the quarterfinals. STEW pull some strings? would love to represent the scnutters at the Grammys.

Congratulations on your achievements. I used to teach here in Kentucky a long time ago, so I know that it can be challenging but also very rewarding. I still have a lot of friends who are music teachers and several of us play in bands together in the Northern Kentucky area. Sorry I don't know how to make the soundcheck happen, but perhaps someone else here knows how to pull some strings. Keep us posted with further updates.

do you know jason koontz?

Yeah, I met him at EKU's homecoming several years ago when I played in the alumni band. I don't get down to Eastern much anymore and I don't belong to PASIC, so I haven't seen Jason for a while, probably since KMEA in Louisville a few years ago. Seems like a very cool guy, and he's done some cool stuff with Eastern's percussion ensemble, steel drum band, etc.
