THANK YOU FROM GIOVANNI

sockii wrote:*bumping* a little bit early for the 5-year (oh god) anniversary...but because I wanted to say THANK YOU again to Gio for everything he's done for us all on this site. And that the sentiments expressed then are the same that I would express today.

(Oh of the 4 there that day thanks to Gio & Sc.Net...)

Heyyy, thank you thank you thank YOU !
Because of your message 'bumping' again here, I re-read again the whole thread...my God, we're still here...ahahaha! For most of us there is exactly the same excitement, with or without The Police tour, right? Of course, by then, The tour was the 'issue' of the moment, but when the tour was over, the thread between many of us remained. That's cool.
Well, 5 years since then, and 10 years...wow TEN YEARS since I created StewartCopeland.it...we have to party then!
Huhuhuhu, I didn't realise it, y'know?
Wow...TEN YEARS....hey, I have to find something to know exactly when I launched the web...oh, by the way, it's easy, it went on line on July 16th ...yes, it was my personaly gift for Stewart, that, by the way, I never met before personally.
You know what? I met him a few days later, and told him about the web; I have the video of that day, we're talking about the super8 footage, The Police and many other stories; I also remember Stewart telling me he had a call from someone to make an orchestral show (what then, a few months later became the Orchestralli project) ... ahahaha, the first time he met me, I already had my videocamera ready to film everything (ahahahah, I don't know if he realised from whom I got the idea of filming the moment...hahahahah....Stewart, are you reading???? hhihihihihih).
A few moments before meeting him, I was afraid something could happen to me and I could loose the chance, trust me...even if I had already met Sting tons of times, and worked with Andy a lot, HE was the 'ONE' I never touched! Now, can you read what I am writing? ahaha, I'm laughing, as I never ever had problems with anyone in this world, I met so many artists in the past, including U2, REM, Foo Fighters and many many others (and when I say I met, I am not only talking about shaking their hands...) and never had problems with them, such as THEY are personalities, or feelings like that...
BUT
it wasn't like that when I had my chance to meet Stewart.
Well, the rest is history.

I thank YOU to remind me about this thread and everything else around it, and as already said tons of time, it's YOU who make this place so special.
Thank YOU again for being so close!
Gio

Should I involve Stewart in the party?
Could it be an idea?
He may have some other plans, and I guess his 60th birthday will see him in a great party, maybe playing at the Sacred Groove with some of his friends, or maybe around the world with La Notte della Taranta, or Gizmo, or CCCP, or...we don't know that yet.
