Bob Dylan tribute CD w/El Stingo

Adele, Elvis Costello, Sting and Patti Smith are among the artists who have re-recorded Bob Dylan songs for an album which salutes the charity Amnesty International.
The album, set to be released in January, will also mark the 50th anniversary of Dylan's debut, Bob Dylan. Over 80 artists – also including such diverse talents as Pete Townshend, Ziggy Marley and Myley Cyrus – have contributed 75 reworked Dylan cuts, most of which will be released for the first time.
All of the artists and production staff involved worked for free on the four-disc compilation, which forms part of the charity's ongoing campaign against censorship and attacks on free speech.
Chimes of Freedom: The Songs of Bob Dylan Honoring 50 years of Amnesty International will be released on 30 January, 2012.
