I'm dying to hear this and am debating on whether to venture out in the wintry mess to a store that may have this in stock.

Made the trek out into the wintry mix and found it at my next nearest Borders (Fredericksburg location). It was sitting right in front of the pretty disorganized Electronica section calling out my name. Had a 33% off Borders rewards coupon that expires Thursday, so I only paid about $13 for it. I only listened to a little more than half of the first CD n the icy trip home, so I don't think I got to Stewart's part yet. I'm ripping it now and will save it for my treacherous commute tomorrow if I decide to go into work. What I've heard so far is great, especially the second track.

So would you give it two thumbs up? It "sounds" interesting. Undecided; what do you think?

Hey, Conroy, I'm listening to this now on Last.fm. It's pretty cool.

Do you happen to know which track Stewart is involved with? There are no liner notes on the site.

Here's a link for anyone else who wants to have a listen:

Stewart lends a drum breakdown to “Every Other Way.” ... hard to recognize the master's touch on this one
You can listen to the track on BT's myspace

What exactly does "lends a drum breakdown" mean? I tried Googling for more info, but every site I find says the same thing: "lends a drum breakdown."

This tracks is one of the few mellow tracks on the double CD and one doesn't usually associate Stewart and mellow in the same sentence when you are talking about Stewart and music. The hi-hats in the middle of the song were a big clue for me, although even those were understated. It's definitely not Red Rain. It's definitely going to satisfy all the Stewart fans, but I like it.

I really like the CDs, it melds a lot of different genres together and different sub-genre's of pop. A few tracks reminded me of New Order, One track reminded me of Duran Duran, another of General Public. I had a rental a few weeks ago while my car was in the body shop and it had a satellite radio. I spent most of my time listening to the electronica channels and remember hearing some of these tracks on there. Apparently, BT is the darling of Electronica right now. I was listening to a Mac related podcast today and it mentioned that he would be giving a free presentation at Macworld on the 13th.

i've got a few of his early lp's,including sprawling 42 minute tunes; trancey and dancey, deep house whatever you want to call it... it's definately an album that i would have got even without the bizarre Copeland appearance.

(what i wouldn't give if Stewart did a tune with / sample for The Chemical Brothers).

i'm listening to the track Stewart's on now; yeah; there are some hi-hats in the middle... oooh, it's gone all "aphex Twin" at the end, all squelchy. nice.

i've noticed that it says in the blurb that BT produced tune/s for Gordo: anyone known which ones? i'm guessing remixes to polish the turd that was 'Sacred Love' or, as i call it, "For The Love Of God"

BT...

His albums, of which I have a handful, are up and down.
There's some straight up house music, which is boring as paint drying, IMHO.
His compositional sense is pretty boring. But then again, I'm not really into house music.

But I love his arranging and remixing. Genius.

Love his mix of Mike Doughty:

He basically created this N' Sync single and made it great:

I suggest listening with your eyes closed to this video.

He also has a few other really cool remixes and collaborations.
I wish he'd do more of that.
