Police on VIDEO: WHERE???

Police on VIDEO: WHERE???

Postby plutonic on 27 Jan 2010 19:22

Yo,
I recently acquired HD video capability. Which means I'm going to have to buy Certifiable AGAIN, on Blu-Ray. Ugh.
The local Best Buys do not have this in Stock.
I've located it online, however.
Phew.

RANT/:

Where The Frack are the rest of the Police concerts?
Why aren't they available?
I mean, I have them on DVD. By any means necessary, as we nutters know.
But I'd be more than happy to pay for them in HD.

Was around the world shot on Film, or Video? EQ? Anyone?
Why isn't Around the World showing on Palladia in HD six times a day?

shup. it sucks.... "preserve the legacy" by having one of the largest tours of all time and do no fucking media to sell it, and get a 5 year old with no imagination to release a greatest hits package. and fuck all else. If it wasn't going to be the weakest pun ever made; i'd say that it's criminal.

well done everybody, really, well done. >slow hand clap<

Around the World was shot on film. I believe 35mm.
It's all about economics.
All shows and videos would be upgraded to HD if someone believed enough money would be generated after the expense of the conversions.

I thought all the Tourzilla shows were shot in HD? They were using big badass cams that looked like HD ones.

So the footage exists, it just needs to be released. I'd love to be friends with the keeper of those reels.

Good thing I caught 6 gigs on the tour!

Don't have a lot of Answers.

HOWEVER, I do know someone who has an HD version of the Tourzilla show in Las Vegas (the second one). The problem is that, uh, the idiot who filmed this does not have the right software, etc. to burn this onto a Blu Ray disc. That and the fact that the show is marred by poor camera work and bone-piercing screams for STEWART throughout.

Not aware of any other HD versions of any Police shows.
There is no bigger gong.
