How does the release of names thing work in the US? You hear about jurors on TV in big cases, but were their names released or did they just volunteer themselves for info? We had police escorts and got ushered in and out of a back entrance once or twice, but even though we were banned from reading the papers and every morning asked if any press had approached us, I'm not sure our names were ever actually made public.
I don't know though. I know we all had a good amount of fear at times. The crime was being tried in our county court, so we all live only so many miles from the crime scene. One woman lived only a few streets away. That can feel pretty scary, even in a civil case depending on who is involved. Even now, you won't see me advertising publicly which case I was on, just as a precaution/out of paranoia.
Luckily, sockii's guy seems more petulant than dangerous.
