"Meaningful litigation": how about their rhythm section leaving them? Even Charlie Watts had enough of rephrasing the same riffs stolen from Robert Johnson et alia a long time ago, and of a singer which has never learned to sing for s**t, but is a miracle worker on charisma (and finances).

So much for silly. On Da P'leece and yet another resurrection, I think we thoroughly and dispassionately agree 8)

Bill Wyman is the one who left (without litigation)...
Charlie is still playing along to the stolen riffs.

I love the Stones so I cannot form a unbiased argument...I have to leave them to that.

But you are right.
We agree on The Police!

THE POLICE PLAN NEW ALBUM
Reunited rockers THE POLICE are planning to follow their comeback world tour with a new album. STING, ANDY SUMMERS and STEWART COPELAND recently announced they will perform a string of gigs this year (07), 23 years after they split. And guitarist Summers reveals they may make an LP of new material. He says, "If we do well with these concerts we may well make a sixth album. I can't see why not. "We've been jamming acoustically lately and we've been really enjoying it. We'll be playing a couple of new songs at the shows in the summer."

i don't where it's documented, kipper, but those sessions (and those for the acoustic album mentioned in the tourzilla programme) went extremely tits up...

Oy... Really, I think Sting has jumped the shark. He's out of ideas. If he's desperate enough to actually consider it, I would fear the result. And if they actually did this, I think he really would be certifiable.

Oh, and my husband says all the time I would buy a Sting cd if all he did was fart on it. I can't disagree... It's some kind of mental illness I've been afflicted with since 1983.
yo!!
