Bets,
I'll be your drinking partner. To a degree anyway. I want to remember the show!!! But, a celebratory shot is definitely in order!!

Yeah, I'm in Empty's camp, got a half marathon on 13 Sept ... but I may indulge in a little celebratory tequila shot Friday night nonetheless  !

if there's one thing (and there are many more) which nancy is good at; it's finding great eateries.

is this a good point for me to say that i'm deeply jealous of y'all?
It is?
Ok.
I'm deeply jealous of y'all, one might say 'green', if you were a twat, that is....

Hey, smax, this seems like a good time to say you will be sorely missed!

One of these days, I'm gonna get to meet you and give you a great big hug. Or adopt you! Whatever!
I really do wish you could be there!

And, E, don't sweat the tequila! I'm not training for a triathlon, but I have been working out quite a bit and I find I do best with a very innocent glass of chardonnay or two. You'll be in good company!

I think we should have a poll on the various good choices for dinner.

I am happy to gather the info on a new thread but won't be able to do so for a few days so others can do it if they can.

Nancy rose I trust you picking the food choice.

If anyone cars about my preferences: I'd like outdoors with view. will be first trip to SD and would love to see ocean.

Also if we are going to get out after 10pm Id rather eat a dinner before and just have drinks after.

I am totally ignorant of the SD layout but have no problem walking a bit for parking [mybe not 2 miles].

An ocean terrace sounds nice and 12.50 in food is SO doable after all those places in NYC.

But of course I will follow where ever you all choose since its about being together :)

Poll created in another thread on the great options for Friday dinning and possibly drinking.

And, MariaH, of course we care about your preferences. In La Jolla, it is hard not to see the ocean even if our food is not in front of it. La Jolla is a beach town. A high end beach town but a town whose central feature is the Pacific Ocean.

For what its worth, I ate at George's about a yr ago during a trip to San Diego. Very good food & service; yes pricey but you are paying for the view.

Like Smax, am very jealous of "yinz guys." Enjoy!
