Back from U2 show in Milano

Back from U2 show in Milano

I bet this is going to be a regular thread in this forum, but hey, it comes spontaneous to come back home and tell your best friends what you have witnessed going to a U2 show!
I have to admit that sometimes it seems unreal...this big thing is just there, in front of you, with those lights and such an image between a space station and ... a cactus flower as Bono said tonight.
The bands sounds terrific, incredible; I have to say that the last time I saw them in this shape was yeeeeeaaaarsss ago.
As soon as Bono hits the stage, as the last member of the band (starting from Larry, who opens alone the dances), you immediately understand they are back to the energy I saw back in the 80's; I'm sure they probably watched some of their mid-80's show ... eheheh... and remember what they were capable of.
'Vertigo' is the moment when the stadium explodes!
'Unforgettable Fire' is when the stadium is shocked!
'Where The Streets'...is just magic!
Should I say something about 'Ultraviolet', 'Sunday Bloody Sunday', 'Breathe', 'No Line On The Horizon', 'I Still Haven't Found/Stand By Me'?
Same MJ tribute as in Barcelona, with a few lines out of 'Don't Stop Till You Get Enough' and 'Man In The Mirror'.
I would avoid 'In A Little While' as it seems a little out of his place here, but it was probably done to ''rest' the energy for a while.
Anyway, a great show I would recommend to everybody.

HA! Gio, I was just watching a video on You Tube and thought of you. You didn't mention a song about a certain girl he knows. ;) If they keep Unforgettable Fire in the set I will be happy with anything else they do.
I must say I really like "In a Little While". Wonderful lyrics...and it probably gives them a chance to rest a bit. Remember Bono is getting up there too now (he is 49). I'm so glad you got to see them and had a good time!

I just realized this means Gio saw STEWART and then U2 within the span of a few days. Excellent!

Thanks Gio,

happy to hear that you had a good time. I still have to wait till October.

The stage does look pretty impressive.

You forgot to say that Bono's daughter made her birthday party in the stage!

Oh, and by the way, che posto avevi?

How was the stage, Gio? Did it turn? How often? Or continuous? How fast?
Weren't the columns obstacles?

They really put a lot of work into coming up with interesting sets. Party Girl??! I love when a band digs out old chestnuts like that!!

Congrats on a great time Gio!!

The stage is in the middle of everything; they move all around, in some cases they don't even see each other, but the only time that something turns is when the drumset change his position from one side to the opposite, remaining anyway at the centre of the stage.
You can see very well from everywhere I have to say.
