this is a 4 LP set made for a radio station
it contains the songs you all know mixed with interview bits

there are a LOT of radio records like this out there
in a way it's nice to hear that stuff
but in a way it's all the same and not really worth the trouble

Sincerely, if you are the kind of collector who wants to have everything, you can't miss this one.
But be careful; it's a sort of I-want-them-all-now as when you start collecting Radio shows as well, you keep on looking for them and the prices are always very high.
It's a nice item anyway, and very rare.

this is my opinion:
That one you have found on eil.com it's the most popular of Police's Self Portrait. Infact that is a 2lps set and it's not so difficoult to find. Instead there are two other promos from two different radios that are:
The Police Self Portrait broadcast via satellite 4 july 1989 - 4Lps The Source.
The Police Self Portrait '85 - Their secret journeys 6Lps NBC Radio Ent.
Both are boxed in a black box with a black and white photos of them, both with cue sheets.
For me they are really rare items; the price of the 2LPs set on eil.com it's too much high.
If anyone want more info write me.

I have that on you have found on eil.com and the Self Portrait '85 boxed with 6 Lps.
I'm looking for the 4Lps set but it's very difficoult to find it.

I have that set but I have only 2 vinyls, with that light blue label; maybe mine it's not complete, I think.
That I know, the 4 Lps set it's boxed into a black box with a photo of them from Synchronicity era and this radio show was issued from "The Source" NBC.
Incredible I have found on my archive an info about the Self Portrait listed on eil.com that says "....3Lps...promo etc. etc." and there is a photo of the cover of this item, but I have only two LPs without the cover.
